How do i transfer my files from my old powerbook G4 running panther to my new mac mini running leopard? i have a firewire cable connected to both computers...now what?How do i transfer my files from my powerbook G4 to my mac mini?On the G4, System Preferences > Sharing > Enable File Sharing. Change your computer's name to something short such as pbg4 on the same Sharing pane. Then on your mac mini, do command+K and type in pbg4.local
Edit: If this does not work, try it with an ethernet cable if you have one. They're very common.
