We brought our in our 2001 Chrysler mini-van for new tires and asked them to check the breaks as well. They quoted $1100 to fix the breaks. I didn't think breaks were that expensive. How much do breaks cost for Chrysler 2001 mini-van?we have a 2001 chrysler town and country van...front breaks cost us less than 30$ and if your rotors are bad the cost for them are round about the same...so less than 100$s to fix ..this is a very easy and simple job on these vans ...might benefit you to call autozone and check prices .....hope this helps you out|||look at yahoo siteHow much do breaks cost for Chrysler 2001 mini-van?WOW. We have a similar model(a 99 Plymouth voyager) and we spend $50 on brakes, and hubby changes them himself. Are they giving you new rotors also???? I would definitely take my money elsewhere. I'm afraid to ask how much you paid for your tires.|||That must be for a complete overall work on your breaks..that is a little too much even if you need new rotors....I would shop around and see if you can get a better price, hopes this helpsHow much do breaks cost for Chrysler 2001 mini-van?sounds like they might be giving you a quote for new brake pads, rotors and calipers. take a good look at the estimate they gave you and ask questions. if they cant give you a breakdown of what costs what, then turn around and find a reputable shop that can and will give you the low down.

most brake jobs that include new brake pads and resurfaced rotors will run you around 200 - 300 bucks per axle (front or rear). dont trust these $99 brake special places...those are what we call "pad slapped". if the rotors are not measured for thickness, then you could be below minimum spec and that could cause a vibration while braking (warped rotors) and if the new pads dont have a clean fresh surface to seat into, you could have vibration, noise, chatter, and your new pads may not last as long as they could.

good luck|||sounds like they are replacing everything calipers, wheel cylinders, brake pads, an brake shoes, This is done when they offer a lifetime warranty but not relay needed I would just replace the pads and heaved the rotors turned. Not knowing prices in your area I would say about a hundred bucks to do it yourself or about 200--300 for a shop to do it
Please error on the caution side remember you stopping before the crunch is life saving.|||there not that expensive to do,i wouldn't let that shop touch it,that's way to much for brakes on one of those,400 bucks is high, but that's what i usually get for doing them all way around,go somewhere else, their trying to rip you off, unless everything is worn out on the brake system, you,d best not let them touch it,good luck with it.|||it all depends on what brake parts you are replacing if it is just brake shoes about $ 50 with labour $ 150 but if you replace every thing it could run you $ 1,000 and up hope this helps.
