Of course not!
That's a very young age. Just handle him regularly. You can't have had him for very long already, you haven't even given him a proper chance.
You need to be VERY patient with pigs, they're active destructive animals. Not housepets.
"I want to start training him...but i cant untill he will let me touch him with out running off."
Ummm no. That is the very first step of training. Taming.
Also when it comes to training, you need to work with their instincts, not against them.Is a 3 month old mini potbelly pig to old to get used to humans?I have a potbelly ( Pitunia) she's 1yr old. When pitunia was a young piggy she wouldsqueall loudly when we would try to handle her. I eventually learned that pigs aren't dogs and they do not like to cuddle. Unless you would consider a muddy belly rub cuddling. You will have to learn your pigs personality and respect that your pig is a pig. She will probably respond best to you if you take a seat on the grass in her pen with a pile of corn and let her come to you. Pigs are very motivated by FoOd! This is the only way i can get pitunia to do anything. It takes alot of patience to be a pig mommy because they are very destructive & smart. They also can be a little pushy if they dont get their way. As long as your pig has a large area to roam and graze, plenty of food (mine loves corn & garden scraps), a big mud pit in the shade, a a piggy house filled with hay, and a good amount of human contact-she will be a happy piggy! Be patient, as your piggy gets bigger she will slow down and you will have better luck with getting to know her, good luck!|||Not at all, he is still very young. You just have to handle him more; he isn't use to being around humans. You need to have as much contact with him as possible. When you feed him, try feeding him from your hands so he can make the connection between the two. If he realizes that you bring him food and feed him he will become more comfortable around you. Give him treats throughout the day, they don't have to be big.
