I'm planning on buying a mini-van soon to use for summer vacation trips. Ford has dis-continued it's minivan line and I was wondering if Ford has any future plans on bringing one back soon, If not, I will likely buy a Toyota Sienna or Honda minivan. Thanks!Does Ford have any plans on re-introducing a Mini-van to it's line up?nope, Ford only builds those damn crossovers now. I'm pretty sure Chevy even pulled the plug on the Uplander, which was just an old Venture with a different grille. minivans are slowly disappearing, much like station wagons. enjoy them while you still can.|||No there is no need. Minivans are are so 1980's, there is no need for them anymore. The other automakers will eventually catch up to the times.People still want them because thats all they know. You need to check out the Edge or the Flex. You will be sorry if you buy a Toyota or a Honda. You may think you've done your "homework" on researching the best buy, but those vehicles are not built well. They are unsafe, and low in quality, reliability, and resale. Dont beleive everything you read. Consumer reports, JD Power and Associates, and Kelley had a price to lie about quality....Toyota and Honda have been paying them for years!! THIS IS A FACTDoes Ford have any plans on re-introducing a Mini-van to it's line up?Sean is right, Ford is done with minivans. Basically the Flex replaced the Windstar/Freestar in the ford lineup. It's quite roomy inside, but not as roomy as the Odyssey, Sienna, Quest, or Grand Caravan. GM doesn't have any more either.
You could probably get a nice used Freestar for very little money compared to a Toyota or Honda (although the Ford isn't quite as roomy), but if you want a new Minivan you won't get it from Ford.|||No, Ford has no plans on bringing back the mini van. Chrysler pretty much holds the market on them. Their biggest thing right now are crossovers such as the Edge, and the Flex and smaller cars. They are even killing off their rear wheel drive cars - the Mercury Grand Marquis (2010) Lincoln Town Car, and Ford Crown Victoria after 2011.Does Ford have any plans on re-introducing a Mini-van to it's line up?Ford is bringing the C-Max to North America in the next year or so, it seats 7, but it's not as large as Sienna or Odyssey. The C-Max is built on the same platform as the new (to North America) Focus.|||GO WITH THE NEW SIENNA SE.
