smart: i wanted to buy a used mini cooper from a small place in my town and i wanted to wait so they guy would lower his price he wants $14,500, he purchased it 7/27/2010. i really want it but how long would it last before someone bought it.How long do mini coopers last on the lot?How long the car sits there doesn't change how much he paid for the car. What makes you think time will force him to lower his price. The value of that car does not depreciate significantly even if it sat there for 9 months. The MINI is a very popular car, someone is going to buy it eventually. The only thing that will make him lower the price is if the car is not his. If he as it on some sort of showroom plan where the auction "loans" him the car for 60 days. If it doesn't sell he has to return it to the auction or pay for it in full. If that's how he's getting his cars he needs to sell it or return it so he doesn't have to pay for the car out of his pocket.
