For the best results, you'll need to have a firewire port on your computer. The next best option is an AV capture device. How do I save my mini DVD tape video to my computer? You need two things, a fire wire (present in the newer PCs) if you don't have one yo can buy a PCI cart for a few $ and some video capture program like Nero OEM given by most of the DVD-R/W drives. Under windows XP as soon you connect your cam to the firewire and turn it on it will recognize the new hardware and install it automatically. Id this don't happen you will have to download the drivers for your camcorder.
A good advice don't run any other programs when capturing video, because this happens in real time and your capture device can start to drop frames. How do I save my mini DVD tape video to my computer? You will need a video capture card and a firewire link.
