Hi, I'm not very high tech and just received a new Nokia N97 Mini. Can someone please tell me in beginner (easy) step-by-step guide to transferring music from my PC to the phone? Using Bluetooth 4. Using Nokia PC suite in case of Nokia Phones (like in your case) and other suites for the respective phones. Using a USB cable You have not mentioned if your Phone is brand new, but if it is it should have come with a USB cable and probably a CD. I think you phone can connect directly to the computer using the USB cable, Insert the CD and follow the instruction on how to install the software. Once your Phone connects you can copy and paste files inside your phone and your Phone will automatically detect any music which you can then save as a ring tone. Using a card reader You Probably don't know what a card reader is,but as the name suggests, it is just a small device that enables you access the inside of your memory chip.You phone must have come with a memory chip/card. If you cannot locate the chip read the manual and in case the chip is not included, get one from a mobile store, if chip is there just visit any mobile store and ask them for a USB card reader, insert the memory card of your phone to the card reader then insert the card reader to your computer, the memory card of your phone will open up and you just need to drag and drop songs or just copy and paste them into the card reader. re-insert the card reader into your Phone and the music is in your Phone Using bluetooth You can access your phone using bluetooth, you need to ensure that the bluetooth of the computer is on and that of your phone too is on. you can search for devices from your phone bluetooth menu. Once you locate the computer click on synchronize or pair etc. once they are paired you can then access the phone memory from your computer. drag and drop music etc. Using Nokia Pc suite Nokia Pc suite basically supplements the above processes. it makes the menu of your phone look like a book to your computer, ie it makes it easier to transfer files and data to your phone. once the pc suite is installed to your computer, all you need to do each time is just connect your phone and use the suite to browse your phone.
