We have already pulled almost all combat troops out of Iraq. Was Commandant General Conway wrong when he said Marines should be pulled out of Iraq and sent to Afghanistan? These decisions are made with input from a variety of sources. I think Obama probably said we would pull troops out of Afghanistan. The Afghan government has asked us for a time line on pulling troops out. We are training Afghan forces like we did in Iraq. If this goes well, we should allow them to control their country. We are a democracy. We believe in allowing other countries to have a democratic government. That means allowing them to control their own destiny. If we believe the government of Afghanistan is headed in the right direction, which could be questioned, then we should allow them to govern themselves.|||who is obaba? Lol I get what you mean. I think we should start to leave Iraq. Afghanistan, no. My friend just got back. He said its genocide. The terrorists and insurgents kill civilians. We are there to stop them because no one els will. Kinda the same as WWII with genocide. Yes, unfortunately soldiers will be killed and wounded. But they know its a chance before they go. But its not nearly as bad as it was say during Nam. Withdrawing from Afghanistan and Iraq will be probably followed by abolishing of pro-American governments there and loss of credibility.
