ok my camera doesnt support firewireso is there a device i can buy that just transfers from mini dv to usb?How do i put videos from a mini dv to a computer using a firewire?Connect the camcorder's DV port to the computer's firewire port with a firewire cable.
USB will not work. USB to firewire cable/converter/adapter/hub things won't work.
Hopefully your computer has an available expansion slot so you can add a firewire port - but you did not tell us which computer, so we have no way to know.
