I know he is smart but is he really as smart as the media claims?

Did he only get into Harvard because they are rerquired to fill a certain quota of minorities? Is Obama really as smart as they say, or is he jsut a product of affirmative action? He's definitely not as smart or as well-spoken as former President George W. Bush.|||He's very intelligent but overwhelmed with the issues and tries to please too many people.

It'll take some time to implement but he will make the changes necessary to get this country going in the right direction.

Affirmative action isn't always fair. Why aren't more American Indians given the same help?

And in a tie situation it's not fair to give the opportunity to the blacks only. I don't care, draw straws or something, white folk need to eat too.

But at the projected population growth rates, you might want to keep affirmative action. Is Obama really as smart as they say, or is he jsut a product of affirmative action? He is much smarter than the average President. He graduated Magna-CumLaude from Harvard Law School. That is straight A's from the nations' most prestigious law school. Having had a genius IQ (172) since kindergarten (Einstein was 160), he didn't need affirmative action.|||I'm not sure, but I GUARANTEE he knows how to spell "just". And BTW, Harvard does have certain "quotas" but they are not required to do anything. They CHOOSE to do that. And minority entrants must have that same qualifications as non-minority entrants. It really freaks you out that there are actually black people who can get into Harvard, doesn't it?Is Obama really as smart as they say, or is he jsut a product of affirmative action?I, by close observance see him as below average intelligence and a product of mean-spirited and hate white America teachers that he chose to sit in attendance for 20 plus years. He is not capable of an original solution to the problems facing this country. He has dissed Israel and bent over to kiss the butt of Islam, that alone tells you volumes!|||Having met the man and had several conversations with him back before he became a senator, I can tell you he is a very bright man. What he lacked going into the office of President was experience...and he's quickly gained a lot of that.
He won't be able to reverse all the damage done our nation by George W. Bush - that will take decades - but he's off to a damn good start.|||I think he is very smart.

I don't agree with him on many issues. But I am willing to give him two terms to make some headway because he's got one hell of a task to fulfill and many want instant success. It only it were that simple, we'd be united behind one party.|||Smart and common sense aren't necessarily related. So who really cares?

To liberals, the pedigree is always more important than competence. So you have to wonder why George Bush continues to get hammered. He was an Ivy League grad, too.|||You don't get chosen by peers to be the Editor of the Harvard Law Review by affirmative action.

*sorry...president of the law review.|||Does Affirmative Action apply to the presidency too or was that only accomplished with his daddy's connections?|||define smart. intelligence and being smart are two different things, I believe he is a intellectual idiot!!|||Smarter.

Explain how he then was elected President of the Harvard Law Review.|||I am reminded of the old phrase, "book smart but dumb."
