I have been using opera... and to tell u something, Many online applications like Picasa and others import Internet Explorer setting by default ( this cannot be changed) ... So if something is wrong with ur IE... thn the Web application would not do its work.... coz it either got wrong settings( if IE is corrupted) or It never fond IE ( if deleted) ... If you don't want to use it just delete the shortcut. You will need IE to download all security and upgrade patches.
